Move at will covers my search for freedom over the last 10 years of my life.
Coming out of a long-term relationship in South Africa, I crossed the waters into New Zealand and found a new life.
It is in New Zealand, where I met my amazing husband and had my three beautiful children.
It is here that I found true freedom in Christ.
There have been many highs and some lows. “Freedom always has it’s price, somedays it will charge you twice”
My journey included dealing with depression,
after the birth of my third child
and missing and losing loved one’s back home.
Life is beautiful and crazy at the same time, but I am learning more and more each day, that God created me to be me and to live a life of freedom in Him.
I am doing me and I hope this album will inspire you,
    to do you.

Me 03:36
ME Don’t put me in a box made in Japan I won’t be like you coz I am who I am We’re all freaks, we were born unique You’re a God made original living to shine And your fingerprints aren’t the same as mine We’re all freaks, we were born unique So, don’t try and fit the choir When you could be flying so much higher Going to play my own drum to my own melody I am going to be me I am going to hum my own tune to my own destiny I am going to be free, I am going to be me And they try to tell you what to wear on the street The right shade of tan from your hat to your feet We’re all freaks, we were born unique And we’re all of the colors born under the sun And one of these days we’ll all see that we’re one We’re all freaks, we were born unique We’re made with a purpose in a grand symphony Made with a purpose, born to be free We’re a piece of the puzzle in a greater design So, I won’t be wasting my time Ek gaan my eie drom speel op my eie melodie Want ek is ek Ek gaan my eie deuntjie fluit soos ek my lewens pad stap Want ek is ek Ja ek is ek

NO HAPPY EVER AFTERS She packed her bags and she is out the door She won’t be coming back anymore She’s gone This time she’s really gone You told your friends that it was all her fault You’re never wrong, she didn’t love you anyway That’s why she went away There’s no happy ever after’s here There’s no happy ever after’s here Romeo and Juliet, they never died They just went to bed and woke up Where they didn’t want to be Oh you can’t believe that she is Dancing with somebody new But that doesn’t mean that she was never broken to Coz she was broken to
3.
TOOK A CHANCE Met you down in South Otago You’re a handsome southern man Wasn’t ready for loving you but you took a chance Took you two years to convince me for my heart was Broken bad But you never stopped believing in me and you took a chance You took a chance You took a chance on me my baby Guess our love was meant to be And when your grey and old still your hand I’ll hold Coz you took a chance on me We got married in the autumn That first year was hard enough I bet you often felt like leaving me but you took a chance You took a chance Five years later there’s three children And the Lord has filled our cup And all I want to do is thank you babe coz you took a chance, You took a chance Yes still your hand I’ll hold when you are grey and old coz you took a chance on me.

It was Time 04:06
IT WAS TIME You cant go on like this Its not Gods will How I hated to hear those words my father spoke But you had me tangled up, wrapped round your finger tips I was so far lost in those eyes You broke me down Till there was nothing left Tossed me aside like an empty bottle of wine Then you begged me to stay when I finally got up to leave But darling it was time Seven years is a long long time to be blinded to the truth All those nights you cheated Oh how I missed you. All those lies you told me, how did I believe? I was so deceived, tell me why I didnt leave I got on that jet plane, after sad goodbyes We both shed a tear, but I dried my eyes Said I’d be back real soon It would be alright Guess it was my turn to lie...

PASS ME A COFFEE One two three little apples from the tree, but they did not go too far, no they did not go too far I can see little bits of you and me in everything they are, Oh in everything they are We’re spending every dime dime dime Changing dippers in our prime prime prime And I feel tired all the time time time Pass me a coffee and I’ll be just fine Four five six oh we raise them using tricks, Using age old trick oh we using age old tricks Hoping when you see them down the street, they’ll be the sort of people you would like to greet Seven eight watching time evaporate, as they grow up way to fast, Oh they grow up way to fast Time won’t wait, no you can’t negotiate Wish I could make it last, Oh I wish I could make it last And they’re strange and so unique He’s got your charm, she’s got my cheek They’re strange and so unique Everything that makes our life so sweet sweet sweet And I think, I’ve lost my mind, pass me a coffee and I’ll be just fine, or maybe make that a bottle of wine
6.
DOWN LIKE WINE Little white lies they follow you like a shadow And every time that you speak they fly like and arrow I wish that I could say I never fell victim But you picked up the crossbow and aimed straight for my heart Your lies go down like wine I get drunk on every line Your lies go down like wine The day you first kissed me I thought this could be forever And you were a good man at least right at the start But as the time went on your lies became clearer And now I’m left sitting here wishing I never gave you my heart I have to acknowledge the truth that you had spoken The day when you mentioned that you were no good for me I wish that I had believed those words when you said them Just imagine how happy I would be
7.
LITTLE WHITE PILL Tried to buy a one-way ticket to THERE, turns out it don’t exist Even though they said that’s where they’d be, if I felt a little anxious I went to see the Shrink instead, but she stared at the clock At least she gave me a script for this little white pill to pop Little white pill, little white pill I was feeling sad, that was until I swallowed you half I swallowed you whole Right about then I gained control Happily married with two kids and then the third one rocked the boat I feel ashamed but I have to admit that I’m barely staying afloat I really do love this child, but I am crying all the time Sometimes you can write the words, but you cannot make them rhyme Sometimes things in life go wrong, sometimes they go right Sometimes you need a little help to make it through the night When the storms of life may hit you don’t you ever dare give up Pick your Own Self of the floor and fill your coffee cup.

All Roads 04:23
ALL ROADS Back to the place where I am from Back to the arms that raised me strong Taught me right from wrong Familiar faces call my name The walls seem smaller but they are the same Precious memories remain Some are wiser some are bolder Some are new and we are all older Some are gone but how we wish they were still here And though life may separate us We know that it won’t break us Coz all roads lead to home Listening to stories being told The different views of young and old Yet the love never grows cold Driving down roads we used to take Talking about all the plans we’d make Yeah life is good but home is great
9.
Move At Will 03:07
MOVE AT WILL Jumping fences Skipping towns Living places Where no family can be found Stumbling on adopted dreams How she longs to be free She aint running Life is pushing She aint walking Time just won’t stand still Guess she’s trying To be somebody Trying to move at will Finding her feet On her own In another town Further from home Freedom always has its price Somedays it’ll charge you twice Can you see her down the road? Jumping fences till she grows cold Or maybe laying down some roots Only time will tell
10.
Your Song 03:29
YOUR SONG I imagine you, driving down the highway A beautiful wife sitting by your side Two baby girls sitting in the backseat And you turn on that radio This is your song, you turn it up a little louder King of the road, trailer for sale or rent This is your song, and you wind down the window Shouting King of the road that’s who I am Mama told me you were her hero And you were taken way to soon Grandma told me she’d never love another She never did and that’s the truth O I imagine I imagine you that way So in my heart, King of the road you'll stay Now I believe in a place called heaven We get to go there when we die When we believe in the Son of the Father I’ll see you in the bye and bye
